Police Looking For Information Lowell Badger Murder Case

(MEROM) - Wabash Valley Crime Stoppers is still looking for information about the homicide of Lowell Badger of Merom.

According to police, 85-year-old Badger was found murdered on Dec. 8, 2012 in his Sullivan County home. He was discovered by his son at 9:23 a.m. on his bedroom floor. He was killed from a gunshot wound.

Electronics and other items were found missing from the residence. Taken during the burglary was a light to medium dark gray safe, measuring 23.5 inches tall, 17 inches in depth, and 17 inches wide. Police say it was in pristine condition and manufactured by John D. Brush and Company. Also taken was a black 46" Sony Bravia LCD television.

Despite an ongoing investigation, the case remains unsolved.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to call Indiana State Police Detective First Sergeant Jeff Hearon or Detective Tom Hanks at the Putnamville Post, 765-653-4114.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information can call 238-STOP or go to the Crime Stoppers website to leave tips. Tips will remain anonymous.
