Tolbert is charged with dealing meth and narcotic drugs, possession of meth and narcotic drugs and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

On Nov. 18, the Lawrence County Drug Task force officers and the county's Emergency Response Team served a search warrant in the 4500 block of Port Williams Road. At that time, Brandon Eagan of Mitchell was arrested for possession of meth and heroin and maintaining a common nuisance.

According to Sheriff Sam Craig, officers entered the home and they discovered one gram of heroin and one gram of meth in plain sight on a table in the living room and more drugs packaged to sale, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana and a handgun.

In total, officers recovered more than 24 grams of meth heroin and 4 of heroin in the home.

Eagan was the only person at the home during the search, but the investigation continued leading to the arrest of Tolbert.
