(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana’s Tevin Coleman is a finalist for the Doak Walker Award.

The junior running back ranks second in the nation with 1,906 rushing yards this season. He has scored 15 touchdowns for the Hoosiers.

Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon and Nebraska's Ameer Abdullah complete the Big Ten sweep of the three finalist spots.

The Doak Walker Award is given to the nation's top running back, who also demonstrates characteristics of leadership, sportsmanship and fair play. The winner of the award will be announced December 11 during the Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN.

Coleman is the second Hoosier to be named a finalist for the award, joining Vaughn Dunbar in 1991.
