(WASHINGTON) - The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 101 in Washington will conduct its 24th annual "Cops & Kids" event December 18th.

Children from area Headstart Schools and 4-Rivers Preschool will be taken shopping at Walmart, not only for Christmas gifts, but needed clothing.

Afterwards, they will also be treated to lunch at the Washington Moose Lodge.

Last year, over $20,000 was donated to the FOP and spent on 168 children of the three Headstart schools in Daviess and Martin Counties and 4-Rivers Pre-School.

Donations for this year's Cops & Kids in the Washington area may be given to Steve Riney at the Washington Police Department, Marshal Steve Barker or Scott Noble at the Odon Police Department, Kelly Rayhill at the Loogootee Police Department or Sheriff Rob Street of the Martin County Sheriff's Department in Shoals.
