(BROWN CO.) - The Brown County Junior High ‘We the People’ team has won the Indiana Bar Foundation’s premiere civics competition, for middle school students, has won the state title again.
The Brown County Democrat reports, now the team is in the process of fundraising so students can head to the national competition in Washington, D.C.
The state finals took place Dec. 16 in Indianapolis. More than 297 middle school students in 13 teams testified in mock congressional hearings before a panel of judges that included lawyers, professors and members of the judiciary.
Fishers Junior High School won second and Forest Ridge Academy from Schereville came in third place.
