Bedford Woman Injured After Crashing Into Pole

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after she crashed into a pole Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Bedford police report, 83-year-old Tillie Jones was pulling into the parking lot of JC Penney's off of James Avenue and was attempting to drive east through the lot and thought she had passed the stop sign and yellow pole, but didn't and when she veered her 2007 Dodge Caliber struck the pole.

The airbags on the vehicle deployed.

Jones complained of chest pain, but refused medical attention.
