(WASHINGTON) - In just under three weeks Eastside Park in Washington will come alive for the city's ninth annual Christmas in the Park celebration.
This year's Christmas in the Park will be from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 4, 11 and 18. Keeping with tradition, there will be carriage rides, visits with Santa, kids crafts and refreshments.
Officials estimated there are around 45,000 lights involved in the display.
The lights will be turned on Nov. 26 through New Year's Day.
Two new additions this year are new figures for the display and a suggested admission donation of a non-perishable food item.
Officials won't disclose what the new decor is because they want the public to come find out for themselves what they are.
