Two Arrested After K-9 Finds Drugs In Vehicle

(BEDFORD) - Two people were arrested after Lawrence County police made a traffic stop and a K-9 found drugs in the vehicle.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig officers made the traffic stop at John Williams Boulevard and Becky Skillman Way just before 3 a.m. this morning.

A K-9 alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle.

Officers arrested 45-year-old Raymond Sykes, of 621 14th St., on charges of possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. His passenger 42-year-old Marcy Garland, of 617 U St., is facing charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
