(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell City Council passed an ordinance this week allowing officials to issues fines for residents that blow their leaves or grass clipping onto city streets and sidewalks.
The city had an ordinance in place addressing the issue, but since it could not be found in the city ordinance book, a new one was passed.
Violations are $100 for the first offense, $75 for the second offense and $10 for the third offense in the same calendar year.
