(BEDFORD) - Some of the road work scheduled for today has been delayed because of the bad weather.
Lawrence County Highway Department Superintendent David Holmes says the culvert replacement on Beaver Creek Road will be done Tuesday.
Today, crews are milling the bridge deck and doing some repairs to the bridge on Sandpit Road. But workers will not be able to pave it until Tuesday.
Sandpit Road will be closed from Mitchell Road to County Complex Road Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon for the paving.
There will be a bump on each end of the bridge this evening until it is paved Tuesday, so Holmes asked drivers to drive slow as their vehicles enter and leave the bridge.
