(MITCHELL) - On October 31, The Spring Mill Fraternal Order of Police held a retirement ceremony honoring four local police officers who have recently retired or will be retiring at the end of the year.
The honorees included Lawrence County Police Captain Jerome Hettle and Captain Gerald McGee of Orange County Sheriff Richard Dixon and Officer Howard Rutherford of the Orleans Police Department.
Each officer was presented with a plaque recognizing their years of dedicated service to their respective communities.
