(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig is asking motorists to slow down and drive with caution.
Roadways are slick and the snow is now freezing on the roadways because of the falling temperatures.
Lawrence County police have worked several accidents and slide offs including one accident with minor injuries.
Bedford Police say the roadways in town are still snow covered, but they had had no accidents so far this morning.
Highway and city crews are out and clearing roads.
