Possible Mobile Meth Lab Catches Fire In Car

Last updated on Sunday, November 9, 2014

(SALEM) - A possible meth lab caught a vehicle on fire in Campbellsburg last week, sending one man to University of Louisville Hospital.

Campbellsburg Town Marshal David Nicholson was alerted about a couple arguing in the parking lot of K&E Market, Wednesday.

The couple was told police were on their way and that is when the couple went to the back of the parking lot of Jimmy's Bar. That is when a fire started inside the vehicle and the male passenger suffered burns. The female driver was not injured. Police are not releasing the names of those involved.

Police found precursors used to make meth inside the vehicle and police believe there was a mobile meth lab also inside the vehicle.

Police say it is an on-going investigation and more information will be released at a later date.
