(MORGAN CO.) - A Morgan County woman has been missing since Thursday, and family members are asking for help finding her.

DeVona Burley Rothrock was last seen around 2:45 p.m. at her house in Morgan County, according to Rothrock's niece Andrea Wiles Sandlin. Rothrock's 18-year-old son, a student at Monrovia High School, was the first person to notice something may have been wrong. He said he got home after school Thursday and found the door open and her purse, ID and keys still inside. Hamburgers she had been cooking were still on the stove.

The son called Sandlin saying she was the last phone number in his mother's phone. When she still had not returned later that night, Sandlin went to the sheriff's office to file a missing person's report around 1 a.m. Friday morning.

Rothrock's father-in-law said he saw her getting into a dark Pontiac two-door around 2:45 am., but couldn't tell if she was getting in on her own or if she was being forced to do so.

Sandlin said Rothrock's husband has been out of town on a construction job and did not return until after she disappeared.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a missing person's report had been filed for a woman by the name of Devona Rothrock, but said that they were not actively searching for her.

Anyone with information on where Rothrock may be is asked to call the sheriff's office at (765) 342-6614.
