(MITCHELL) - At 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Bedford Police officers were called to Medicine Plus in the 2400 block of 16th Street after the alarm sounded.

When police arrived they found that someone had broken the drive through window of the pharmacy.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers are reviewing surveillance video.

"We do have surveillance of the man actually breaking the window," Parsley says. "But no entry was gained into the pharmacy."

According to police logs, officers were looking for a heavy set male, wearing glasses, dressed in a white hooded shirt and white pants.

A short time later, at 1:09 a.m. Mitchell police received a call that the alarm was sounding at CVS Pharmacy.

"One of the suspects entered the pharmacy through the drive through window," says Mitchell Police Chief Mike Hardman. "We are pretty sure it is the same individuals that attempted to break into the Bedford pharmacy."

Hardman says the audible alarm at CVS probably scared the suspects off.

"The one gained entry, but nothing was taken," Hardman added. "We are reviewing surveillance video this morning to see if we can determine who they are."

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call the Bedford Police Department at 275-3311 or the Mitchell Police Department at 849-2151.
