Mayors Sign Proclamation Declaring November 'National Home Care & Hospice Month'

(BEDFORD) - Hoosier Uplands Hospice representatives met with Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis and Mitchell Mayor Gary Pruett to sign proclamations declaring November as National Home Care & Hospice Month.

Hoosier Uplands Home Health Care and Hospice would like to encourage everyone in the surrounding communities to celebrate National Home Care and Hospice Month.

Hospice is a supportive program to help aid, comfort and care for those with terminal illnesses. A full medical and spiritual team, including an M.D. Medical Director, skilled nurses, home health aids, social workers, chaplins, and volunteers, are available to assist with the needs of the patient.

Hospice comforts the patient as well as the family to make the most of your time together. If someone you know needs help, please call 1-800-827-2219 to speak with a Home Health Care or Hospice representative.
