Man Sentenced To Three Years In Prison For Possession Of Meth

Last updated on Monday, November 3, 2014

(BROWNSTOWN) - A Jackson County man will spend up to three years in prison after pleading guilty to possession for methamphetamine.

38-year-old Harold A. Douglas of Seymour recently received that sentence from Jackson Circuit Judge Richard Poynter. Two charges -- possession of paraphernalia and false informing -- were dropped as part of a plea deal, according to court documents.

Douglas was arrested in November after police reported they found 10 grams of methamphetamine and items associated with dealing meth in a vehicle parked along County Road 1300E, just north of County Road 50N.
