(BEDFORD) - Bedford North Lawrence senior Kennedy Holtsclaw signed a letter of intent on Wednesday to play golf at the University of Indianapolis.

Holtsclaw shot a school record three-under par 69 to earn regional medalist honors, earned All-State and Academic All-State honors and became the first BNL girls golfer to participate in the state finals since 1995.

Holtsclaw, who finished seventh at the 2014 IHSAA state championship, joins a successful girls golf program at the University of Indianapolis. The Greyhounds finished in fifth place at the 2014 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship in May.

In addition to advancing to the state finals, Holtsclaw has been the top scorer for the Stars the past two seasons.
