Dubois Co 4-H Enrollment And Open House Monday

(DUBOIS CO.) - The Dubois County 4-H Program would like to invite families and anyone who is interested in 4-H to our Community Enrollment and Open House on Monday, November 10th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Clover Pavilion at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds.

It will be an opportunity to talk with local club leaders and 4-Her's about their clubs and involvement. Special interest clubs including Wranglers--Horse and Pony, Shooting Sports, Livestock Judging, Paws and Pals, Hoppers and Cloggers will be present as well. 4-H members must be enrolled by Jan. 15th, 2015 to be able to exhibit at the 2015 Dubois County Fair.

Online 4-H enrollment assistance will be available at Open House.

The 4-H program offers youth an opportunity to explore different fields of interest from crafts and foods to animal science, forestry, electrics to tractors and engines as well as activities like public speaking, demonstrations, and judging teams just to name a few. It is a great first step to inspire youth in their passions as well as potentially start to choose a future career.

This program offers a variety of projects and interests. Dubois County 4-H brings families from all school systems together allowing the youth to make connections with others outside their school system. It's not just about agriculture and crafts.

4-H enrollment is open to all youth from kindergarten thru the age of 18 (Pre 4-H is K-2). If you don't meet those age requirement and still want to be involved, 4-H offers various volunteer, leader and sponsorship opportunities as well.

The Dubois County Extension Homemakers is open to Dubois County residents 19 years and older.
