(BEDFORD) - David K, ‘That Flute Guy” will perform and share his message at Donica Church of God on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
David K has been ministering to churches and organizations of all sizes nationwide for almost 20 years. The service can best be described as one message, interspersed with songs, which serve as illustrations to the message.
No one really knows why at 10 years old he chose the flute, but it wasn't long before he began to set himself apart as a musician. He won numerous competitions, including the Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist Competition, placing first for the state of Indiana.
In 2010 he was selected as World Vision's Artist of the Year. David continues to be recognized not just as a fantastic musician or an engaging and relevant speaker, but as a man with a heart for God.
David plays many styles of music from new arrangements of hymns to original songs to worship songs. Believe it or not, he even includes the occasional Southern Gospel song to show off some unusual flute techniques that people enjoy.
David K gives away a percentage of every dollar that comes in to his ministry to support mission organizations such as Compassion International. A free-will offering will be taken to help.
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Today, Compassion helps more than 1.2 million children in 26 countries.
