(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested after he admitted to dealing crack cocaine.
24-year-old James Beal is facing charges of dealing in cocaine or narcotics and possession of cocaine or narcotics.
Bloomington Police used two controlled buys to confirm Beal possessed the drugs.
A controlled buy is when a cooperating witness or undercover police officer purchases illegal items from a criminal suspect. The BPD performed two of these with a confidential informant in October and November.
Police served a search warrant at Beal's home in the 3300 block of Acadia Court and found more than 20 grams of crack cocaine in a pillow case.
Beal was taken to the police station where he allegedly admitted to dealing the drug.
