Last updated on Thursday, November 6, 2014

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested on a warrant charging him with auto theft.

On Monday, officers went to the 400 block of North Spring Street and arrested 39-year-old Richard Harding.

According to police, on Sept. 4, a stolen vehicle report was filed with police for a moped Harding was given to repair in July. The owner of the moped told police that Harding failed to maintain contact with them and return the moped.

Harding told police that he obtained the moped to perform repairs, but due to financial hardship scrapped it for $40.
