Bedford Man Injured In Crash

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured after he crashed his pickup truck Monday.

45-year-old Jon Abel, 1105 N St., was traveling east on Hayes Road in a 2004 GMC Sonoma early Monday night when the pickup truck went off the side of the road and struck a tree.

Able suffered a possible fractured leg and had to be freed from the vehicle.

He was flown by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital.

The accident is still under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were a Seals ambulance crew, Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department first responders, Lifeline helicopter and Bedford Fire Department extrication team.
