(ELNORA) - North Daviess Elementary 6th graders are using 3D printers in math and science classes, thanks to a grant.

Kim Brand, from the Techpoint Youth Foundation, is working with teachers Justin Wilson and Clay Raber who have been teaching students computer programs that design and create three dimensional objects from the same filament that makes Legos.

Raber explained the new printers go hand in hand when he teaches engineering and design. Students have started with promotional items, such as key chains with the North Daviess symbol on them.
