(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police have arrested two men in the armed robbery of the Circle K Gas Station that took place at approximately 12:19 a.m. this morning.
19-year-old Shawn Seymour of Bloomington was arrested and charged with the arm robbery at the Circle K in the 4400 block of East Third Street and for the armed robbery that occurred Wednesday morning at the Marathon Gas Station at West Third Street and Curry Pike on the west side of Bloomington.
He was also charged with resisting law enforcement.
18-year-old Paul Spence of Bloomington, who is accused of driving the get-away car, was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery, for the same incidents.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning, Bloomington investigators received a tip that Seymour and Spence, were the suspect there were looking for.
Officers found Seymour at an apartment in the 300 block of West Kenwood Avenue. He was taken into custody with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team.
Seymour was suffering from a minor head wound and he was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
An emergency room physician confirmed that the wound was consistent with what would occur from a gunshot.
Seymour was treated and released from the hospital and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Seymour was shot after he pointed a weapon at offices as he fled the Circle K.
Spence was arrested as the result of a traffic stop in a vehicle police believe was used in the robberies. Blood from Seymour's head wound was found inside the vehicle, along with money and other items evidence connecting the men to the robberies.
Bloomington Police investigators will be coordinating with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Ellettsville Police Department seeking to have Seymour charged with two other robberies occurring within the jurisdiction of those agencies.
This case remains under investigation.
The internal investigation regarding the officer's discharge of the weapon in the line of duty is also an ongoing investigation.
