(BEDFORD) - Registered sex offenders on probation in Lawrence County are required to report to the Lawrence County Probation Department on Halloween.
Offenders will be supervised from 5:30 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. during trick-or-treating hours.
Officials say there are no exceptions; only offenders that have to work will be excused and they must have that approved in advance.
If an offender does not show up, an officer will come and get them.
Monroe Circuit Court Probation Department is also requiring all registered sex offenders on probation and those on parole to report to a mandatory meeting from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Charlotte T. Zietlow Justice Center
