Safety & Crime Prevention Program Saturday In Seymour

(SEYMOUR) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana plans to conduct an event about safety and crime prevention for parents and caregivers from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Community Foundation of Jackson County, 107 Community Drive, Seymour.

Criminologist and crime prevention expert Judith A. Yates will present "'Stranger Danger' Doesn't Get It: Practical Safety Tips for Children."

The presentation is designed to teach caregivers and parents such skills as recognizing predatory behavior in offenders, teaching children how to defend themselves without creating fear, what every parent should know about crimes against children and more.
