(NEEDMORE) - The Lawrence County Police Department is investigating a burglary to an outbuilding in the 3000 block of Peerless Road.

The burglary was reported just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Sam Craig says a vice, several tools, two stoves and muzzleloader equipment was stolen from the building.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Lawrence County Police Department.

Sheriff Craig asks residents to report any suspicious activity they may see.

"Many times residents will hear something and not think anything about it at the time and then later discovered items missing from their property," Craig says.

He stressed that residents should call when they notice or hear something out of the ordinary.
