(BROWNSTOWN) - Mark DeHart, head of athletics at Brownstown High School, recently took home nearly $50,000 and a new, fully-rigged Ranger bass boat after winning Walmart’s Fishing League Worldwide Bass-Fishing League Regional at Pickwick Lake, a 43,000-acre reservoir created by Pickwick Landing Dam as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority.
DeHart took his first tourney title by pulling in seven bass during the two-day regional amassing 24 pounds and 14 ounces.
With the win, DeHart earned the right to complete in the prestigious All-American, to be staged at Paris Landing State Park in Tennessee in June.
