Man Injured After Crashing Into Tree

(FAYETTEVILLE) - A Bedford man was injured after he crashed his vehicle into a tree and fence early Wednesday morning.

According to a Lawrence County police report, 28-year-old Zachariah Russell of Bedford was traveling north on Tripleton Pike in his 2001 Ford Ranger when the rear driver's side tire failed causing the vehicle to travel off the road, strike a tree and then a fence.

Russell suffered facial injuries and was taken to IU Health Hospital for treatment.

Assisting at the scene was Indian Creek VFD and an IU Health Hospital ambulance.
