Last updated on Monday, October 6, 2014

(LOOGOOTEE) - An early morning domestic dispute led to the arrest of a Loogootee man after police discover an indoor marijuana grow and meth lab.

Officers were called to a home in the 300 block of Bloomfield Road in Loogootee to attempt to resolve a domestic disagreement between the couple. Officers then left.

A short time later officers received information about the marijuana grow and meth lab in the basement.

Loogootee Police officer Steve Nolan and Martin County Deputy Joshua Greene then requested a search warrant and returned to the home around 6 a.m. Friday morning.

Officers found 30 marijuana plants in the basement and a meth lab and other drug paraphernalia throughout the home.

Police arrested 56-year-old Edward McCloskey without incident and he was taken to the Martin County Jail on charges of possession, deal and manufacturing meth, possession of tow or more drug precursors, possession and cultivating marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.

Members of the Indiana State Police Marijuana Eradication Unit and the Methamphetamine Suppression Section removed the plants and safely dismantle the meth lab.
