(LINTON) - Law enforcement officers and detective from several different agencies were working at two different locations in the Linton area Wednesday afternoon.
Greene County Coroner Sherri Wilson has confirmed that the coroner's office is involved in the criminal investigation and confirmed it is a homicide investigation.
She also say the investigation involved multiple scenes.
Officers were dispatched to the area early in the afternoon. But as of late Wednesday none of the agencies were able to confirm the nature of the investigation or release any details.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed by Forensic Pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr on the deceased victim at 1 p.m. today at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
