Greene County Looking To Purchase Signage For Cemeteries

Last updated on Thursday, October 23, 2014

(BLOOMFIELD) - The Greene County Board of Commissioners discussed plans to make changes and improvements to the county’s cemeteries, including purchasing new signage.

Commissioner Ed Michael says a lot of the cemeteries are unidentified and need signage.

Michaels says a lot of residents are willing to donate to the purchase of the signs, but there is nowhere to donate to. The commissioners voted to allow county auditor Matt Baker to work with county attorney Marilyn Hartman to set up an account for the cemetery board for donations.

Michaels would also like to approach each township trustee and see if they would be willing to purchase signs for the cemeteries in their township.
