Greene County Foundation Hands Out Grant Awards

(WORTHINGTON) - The Greene County Foundation continued its commitment to the county and to charitable organizations by handing out its 2014 Grant Awards.

The Greene County Daily World reports, the Foundation awarded funding to 10 different projects from 17 different requests totaling more than $25,000 for everything from a new projector for the Greene County Literacy Coalition to funds to start a garden to save Monarch butterflies.

Greene County Foundation Executive Director Cam Trampke told the crowd during her opening remarks that was just one part of the organization's goals, and one of the most enjoyable.

The foundation handed out the following grants:

Over the course of its existence, the Greene County Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million in grants to 84 organizations and rewarded 330 students with scholarship money.
