BNL Stars Prepare For Walt Disney Show, Three Orange Co. Bands Prepare For Semi-State

(BEDFORD) - Bedford North Lawrence High School's Marching Stars saw the season come to an end last weekend when the band failed to achieve the gold rating needed to advance from elimination rounds.

The Marching Stars competed in regional competition at Center Grove High School.

The Times-Mail reports that Band Director Jim Jones expressed gratitude to the community for its support of the band throughout the season and said the band now will focus on its next event, which will be participation in the Walt Disney World in the Night Light Show Parade on Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving.

Bands from Orleans, Paoli and Springs Valley advanced to semi-state competition at Franklin on Nov. 1.

The Open Class Semi-State Festival on Nov. 1 will determine the 10 bands that will represent each class at the 42nd Annual Indiana State Marching Band Finals on Nov. 8 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
