Two Girls Injured In Accident

(REEVE TOWNSHIP) - Two little girls were injured when an SUV rear ended a semi at 900 East and 500-South in Reeve Township in Daviess County at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to a police report, 34-year-old Rodney Allen of Jasper was traveling south and approaching the intersection when he told authorities that due to dusty conditions, he did not see the semi in front of him turning left.

The 2006 Mountaineer hit the rear of the 93 International semi causing heavy damage to the SUV and trailer damage on the semi rig.

Allen told police he was uninjured but his two girls, ages 9 and 6, were complaining of stomach and head pain. Both were taken by to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

The semi driver, 29-year-old Lavern Wagler of Montgomery was not injured.
