(WASHINGTON) - A second man and a woman were arrested by Washington Police in connection with a 15-year-old girl being raped at a party on May 24.

27-year-old Cruz Mauricio Mercado-Ramirez of Washington was arrested on charges of rape and sexual misconduct with a minor. He is being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $100,000 bond.

19-year-old Shakyra Rose-Ann Werner of Huntingburg is being charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was cited into court.

Detectives said Tuesday the investigation is ongoing and more people who were at the party are expected to be interviewed and more arrests could be pending.

According to police, Mercado-Ramirez, was at the party where the girl allegedly got intoxicated and then had sex will multiple partners.

In August, a Department of Child Services caseworker reported the rape after the girl discovered she was pregnant and had contracted a sexually-transmitted disease.

According to court documents, the girl told detectives she remembered Mercado-Ramirez being in front of her face and touching her body, but did not remember having intercourse with him. But Mercado-Ramirez allegedly admitted to detectives he did have sex with the teenager.

On Thursday 18-year-old Francisco Rodriguez of Washington was arrested and charged with rape and sexual misconduct with a minor. He is a senior at Washington High School and a member of the soccer team.

According to court records, Rodriguez told detectives he too had sex with the girl.

Rodriguez pleaded not guilty to the crime Friday in Daviess Superior Court. He plans to hire his own attorney.

Mercado-Ramirez appeared in court Monday and entered a not-guilty plea. He was appointed Michael Fritch as his public defender.

Trials were preliminarily set for January in both cases.

Werner is schedule to appear in court for her initial hearing on Oct. 7.
