Terre Haute Woman Arrested For Auto Thefts From Car Dealerships

(UNDATED) - Samantha D. Archer is facing felony charges of auto theft after she and a male visited car dealerships in Greene and Clay counties in Indiana and Clark and Edgar counties in Illinois.

According to police Archer and a male, described as skinny with numerous tattoos on his arms and neck were travelling from dealership to dealership and test driving vehicles and then failing to return them after the test drive.

Archer was arrested by Terre Haute police on three charges of auto theft.

Investigations into the other thefts are ongoing, and another arrest is possible as information regarding a second suspect has been established.

Vehicles involved in these incidents have been recovered by the following agencies: Marshall Police Department and Paris Police Department in Illinois, and West Terre Haute Police Department, Brazil Police Department, Linton Police Department, Vermillion County Sheriff's Department, and Indiana State Police in Indiana.

The makes and models include: Chevrolet Corvette, Jeep Liberty, Dodge Ram 1500, Mercury Mountaineer, Chrysler Concord, Ford Mustang, and Ford Freestar.
