Ten To Compete For Apple Festival Queen

(BLOOMFIELD) - This Sunday, ten high school girls from around the county will compete for the chance to be crowned the 2014 Apple Festival Queen.

The competition will take place at 4 p.m. in the Shawnee Theatre located in Bloomfield. The doors will open for the public at 3:30 p.m. There will be a $2 admission fee.

This years contestants will be judged on a private interview that will take place prior to the public show, along with an introduction speech, evening gown competition, and an on stage question.

The winner of the contest will reign over the Apple Festival that will take place the following weekend.

This year, those who attend the queen competition will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite candidate. The contestant with the most votes will be awarded with the "People's Choice" award.

The contestants for this year are as follows:

  • Daelyn Arthur, a Sophomore at Bloomfield High School, daughter of Stephanie and Jarrod Arthur.
  • Madelynn Conner, a Junior at Bloomfield High School, daughter of Brian Conner and Elizabeth Williams.
  • Cecilia Craig, a Senior at Bloomfield High School, daughter of Tonia Craig.
  • Megan Gainey, a Senior at Bloomfield High School, daughter of Shawna and Brian Gainey. Her particip
  • Taylor Graf, a Senior at Bloomfield High School, daughter of Misty and Jake Graf.
  • Krissy Livingston, a Junior at White River Valley High School, daughter of Sherry and Jason Livingston.
  • Elexis Mandrell, a Sophomore at Bloomfield High School, daughter of Kristy Humphrey.
  • Brittany Morin, a Sophomore at Linton-Stockton High School, daughter of Terri and Craig Morin.
  • Olivia Tinsley, a Senior at Eastern Greene High School, daughter of Rashul Sartoris and Rannix Tinsley.
  • Katie Winstead, a Junior at Bloomfield High School, daughter of Jackie and Kent Winstead.
