(SEYMOUR) - Anyone interested in participating in the annual Seymour Oktoberfest Parade or the 5K Run/Walk needs to turn in entry information by Friday.
The 42nd annual Oktoberfest will be Oct. 2 through 4 in downtown Seymour.
The parade will step off at 1:30p.m. Oct. 4 from Seymour High School.
Businesses, churches, groups or others wanting to have a float or march in the parade need to turn in an entry form to Seymour City Hall by Friday. Forms may be picked up at city hall, or you can email info@seymouroktoberfest.com and a form will be sent to you. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Registration for the 5K Run/Walk is from 7 to 8 a.m.
Oct. 4, with the race starting at 8a.m. A kids race will start at 9a.m., and awards will be handed out.
Participants can save $5 by registering early through Monday. You can register online at signmeup.com/99621, or you can pick up a form at city hall or request one via email at info@seymouroktoberfest.com.
A schedule of activities for this year's Oktoberfest will be released soon, but anyone with questions can email info@seymouroktoberfest.com for answers.
