Last updated on Monday, September 22, 2014

(SEYMOUR) - Pink hair will be the norm around Schneck Medical Center during the month of October.

The public is invited to come to the Schneck Cancer Center on September 30th to get pink hair extensions added to their hair for $10 each.

Simply Chic Beauty Salon professionals will be donating their time and profits from the event to the Schneck Foundation to benefit the Cancer Center.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the color pink as its trademark.

"Last year $2,500 dollars was raised during this event. We are so happy to have Simply Chic back again this year. It's a fun, easy, and eye-catching way to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our local Cancer Center," stated Sally Acton, RN, BSN, OCN, MSM, Director of Cancer and Pain Services at Schneck.

Simply Chic professionals will be on-site at the Schneck Cancer Center on Tuesday, September 30, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary and extensions are $10 each.
