Rockin The River For L.I.F.E. Pantry Kicks Off Saturday At Noon

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence InterFaith Endeavor is in need of donations and the Bedford Boat and Sportsman’s Club is hosting an event to help fill L.I.F.E.’s pantry.

The Bedford Boat and Sportsman's Club, located at 3916 Pumphouse Road, will host the third annual "Rockin' the River" event Saturday from noon until 11 p.m. The event is presented by Z102, Noise Pollution and the Bedford Boat Club.

Five bands will perform.

Admission, is a couple of items for L.I.F.E.

Those attending can donated can goods, peanut butter, jelly,, canned meat, canned fruit, cereals, rice, beans, spaghetti and sauce. But they also need household products toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, bath soap, shampoo and toothpaste.

Z102 WPHZ will be broadcasting at the event.

Five bands will play throughout the day:

Booth rental is only $25 and all of that money will be donated to L.I.F.E.

Here is a list of some of the vendors: Judy Macy State Farm Ins.; Linda Knapp, with her leather goods; Heather O'Connor and her awesome tye dyes; Flintstone Retail booth has a little bit of everything from toys, kitchen supplies, flashlights, signs and knives; Lori Atchison with her Paparazzi Jewelry; Rita Jane East will be selling her collection of beer mugs and bar glasses from all over the planet; WABBC selling T shirts and sweatshirts; Huey's BBQ serving their awesome pulled pork among other menu items; Sharon's Sugar Shack will offer huge cinnamon rolls and caramel stuffed brownies.

J Howard's Jewelry store has donated a beautiful band diamond ring which will be raffled off.

If you can make the event but would still like to help fill the pantry visit the L.I.F.E. offices at 1204 I St. or their Mitchell office at the corner of Seventh and Warren streets.
