Register Now For BNL 5K Zombie Run

Last updated on Tuesday, September 23, 2014

(BEDFORD) - Zombies will be out and about on the Bedford North Lawrence cross country course November 1.

Runners can see if they can outrun the zombies and weave their way through other obstacles along the 5K Zombie Run.

The event organized by the Business Professionals of America, a student organization at the North Lawrence Career Center, will kick off at noon. Registration is from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

According to BPA sponsor Dana Haddan, the run will not be timed - the goal is to end the race with at least one of your three flags, meaning you survived the zombies attacks. Each runner will be given a belt with three flags during registration. Along the course, zombies will attempt to steal those flags.

The runners will circle the course once and then receive the "antidote" which they will carry for the rest of the race.

Everyone is welcome to run the race. BNL students will be the zombies.

Runners are encouraged to wear costumes and prizes will be award for the most original, crafty, spooky and hilarious.

The cost to run is $10 for students or $15 with a t-shirt. Others will pay $20 or $25 which includes a t-shirt.

Students wanting to be a zombie will pay $5.

Registration forms are available at Copy Trolley, the North Lawrence Career Center or online at www.nlcc.nlcs.k12.in.us.
