(COLUMBUS) - A man stealing a bike from Columbus Cycling and Fitness didn't expect an employee to chase him down.

On Monday afternoon, 20-year-old Sean Roberts of Columbus entered the bike shop on 16th Street and stole the bike and peddled from the scene.

But an employee hopped on a bike and took after him while another employee called police.

The store employee was able to catch Roberts and recover the bike.

Roberts then fled into a home while the employee stood guard outside until police arrived. When officers arrived they entered the home in the 1300 block of Sycamore Street and found Roberts hiding in a bathroom.

Roberts was arrested on charge of theft and disorderly conduct.
