Last updated on Monday, September 29, 2014

(JENNINGS CO.) - The North Vernon Police Department served a search warrant at about 6 p.m. Thursday seeking two cell phones that might have information about a Jackson County man who was found unresponsive on Jennings County hospital property last Sunday.

Jennings County Coroner Gene Rudicel said autopsy results show 53-year-old Gary Keith Fields of Seymour died of a drug overdose. Toxicology reports are pending.

Investigators served the search warrant at a home on Cliffshire Lane in Country Squire Lakes for phones owned by 38-year-old Nichol Evans of North Vernon.
