(FAYETTEVILLE) - A Fayetteville man was injured after a vehicle collided with his lawn mower Saturday on Johnson Lane.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 72-year-old Rannel Cheek was mowing and was in the opposite lane of Johnson Lane when 17-year-old Seth Watson was coming down the hill in the opposite lane and saw Cheek's lawn mower.

Watson hit his brakes which caused the front of his 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier to shake. Watson was unable to stop his car and ran off the road and hit a utility pole and bounced back into the road where he hit Cheek's riding lawn mower.

Watson was not injured, but Cheek complained of body pain following the incident.
