(MITCHELL) - 21-year-old Jonathon Cleek was arrested on a warrant Saturday after he allegedly battered a pregnant woman on August 19.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the woman and Cleek are related.
The woman told Mitchell police that she and Cleek had been in an argument and she had walked out of a home on Warren Street to make a phone call requesting someone to come pick her up.
Cleek followed the woman out of the house and took her cell phone away from her. She started to walk away from him and that is when he ran up behind her and knocked her to the street, causing her to suffer scraps and swelling to her knee and elbow.
Cleek returned her cell phone after the woman promised not to call police.
When she got her cell phone back the woman called police to report the battery.
