(SPRINGVILLE) - A Bedford man was injured after he crashed his vehicle on North Pike Road after a deer ran into the roadway Friday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 23-year-old Joshua Wells of Bedford was traveling north on North Pike Road near Washboard Road when a deer ran into the roadway and he swerved his 1978 Chevrolet pickup truck to miss the deer, lost control of the truck, ran off the road and struck a tree.
Wells suffered minor bleeding to his face.
