Man Arrested After Forcing Way Into Home

(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested Tuesday after the Lawrence County Emergency Response Team went to a home in the 1800 block of WPA Road.

Officers arrested 46-year-old Jamie Lynch, of 105 WPA Rd., on multiple charges including intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery and burglary.

Officers went to the home at 5:12 p.m. while a Seals ambulance and first responders from Marion Volunteer Fire Department staged at Tieman Tire.

Lynch was arrested without incident and taken to jail.

According to Sheriff Sam Craig, Lynch's charges stem from an incident during the late hours on September 3 or the early morning hours of September 4.

Lynch allegedly forced his way into a home on WPA Road and threatened the resident with a weapon and battered the individual.

According to Craig, Lynch was charged with burglary because he forced his way into the home.

Lynch remains in jail this morning with two bonds - $200,000 surety bond, or $20,005 cash bond, on the burglary charge and a bond of $20,000 surety, or $2,005 cash, on the other charges.
