ISP Capture One Of Ohio's Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives In Bloomington

(BLOOMINGTON) - On Friday night, the Indiana State Police at the Bloomington Post received a tip from an individual reporting they believed they had come into contact with 52-year-old Louis Reynolds, who was one of Ohio’s top 10 wanted fugitives.

Trooper Richard Klun took the information and contacted the Columbiana County Sheriff's Department in Lisbon, Ohio and learned they had multiple active warrants for Reynolds, dating back to 2009. One of those warrants declared Reynolds a fugitive.

Reynolds was wanted on warrants for four counts of non-support of dependents, Felony Level 4; theft, Felony Level 2, burglary, Felony Level 4 , Ohio Governors Declaration of Wanted Fugitive for the State of Florida on violation of probation for conviction of dealing in stolen property by trafficking.

Trooper Klun's investigation took him to a motel on Walnut Street where he learned from a hotel employee that Reyonlds had just left in a taxi, heading to a downtown bar. Trooper Klun contacted the taxi company and spoke with the driver who was with Reynolds. Trooper Klun remained on the phone while officers arrived at the hotel and took Reynolds into custody upon his return.

Assisting in this case was Senior Trooper Eric Russell, Trooper Riley Nungester and Monroe County Deputy Bryant Brooks.
